Welcome to cruising in company

The Rear Commodores for Sail and Power have created a cruising programme with something for everyone - travelling to familiar, favourite destinations and introducing ports the club has never been to before.

The emphasis is on enjoyment rather than challenging destinations, enabling as many boats as possible to feel comfortable about each voyage. We particularly welcome any new boats that have not cruised with us before and invite them to join in with the familiar faces.

Many of our cruises are for a long weekend plus two longer summer cruises, one east to Holland and the other west to the Channel Islands. At the other end of the spectrum, there will be a selection of shorter one-day or lunchtime events designed to combine cruising with the opportunity to practise different boating techniques, e.g. anchoring at Cuckmere Haven. Skippers' meetings will be held to provide as much information as possible to help us cruise together.

We want to deliver a programme that pleases as many members as possible and we welcome your ideas and suggestions. Please look at the cruising noticeboard in the clubhouse, or email either Steve Atkin or Russell Freeman.
